Trump'ın tarifeleri Nintendo'nun planlarını altüst etti: Nintendo, oyun konsolu Switch 2'yi geçen hafta tanıtmış ve konsolun 5 Haziran'da 450 dolardan piyasaya sürüleceğini duyurmuştu. Ancak aynı günün ilerleyen saatlerinde Başkan Donald Trump, ABD'nin ülkeye ithal edilen mallara kapsamlı tarifeler uygulayacağını duyurması elektronik devinin planlarında değişikliğe gitmesine neden oldu.

TL:DR

Some switch2 games, will NOT have physical copies in the traditional sense, they will be "game-key-cards" that essentially only contain your license for a game.

The game will still need to be downloaded, and saved entirely on the console, and you will need both an internet connection and the "game-key-card" inserted to play it. Even though you bought a "physical" copy instead of a "digital" copy of said game.

Lifehacker · Not All Switch 2 Cartridges Have Games on ThemNintendo Switch 2 has a new kind of physical game cartridge. The company calls these game-key cards, and they aren't what you're used to.

Some reports I’ve seen claim #MarioKartWorld is running at 4K, but the published footage looks like the native size is 1440p.

Looking at stair stepped edges for oblique lines with bright reflections, edges line up with whole pixels when resized to 2560x1440.

Whether or not these have also used DLSS to get up to the broadcasted 4K is hard to tell. The video compression makes things a little murky looking at the fine details.

Obviously I'm paying for it whenever I decide to get the #Switch2 but what a scam - and ofc this scam exists when people like me who aren't particularly obsessed with #Nintendo in the first place, still almost unhesitatingly considers paying (this much) for this upgrade.

Still think that
#console #gaming being "superior" in any way i.e. more user-friendly, etc. makes less and less sense when, for a long time now but more and more so these days, you've to freaking pay for everything from what would've been a free update/DLC on PCs, online multiplayer, heck even cloud saves, etc. User-friendly is also increasingly less true when you even have to do a deep dive into documentations and online discussions/reviews to even understand how digital games work on your platform, or online multiplayer works for a game, or even the various types of physical games (i.e. actual game you're getting, or just a digital code despite being "physical") you're getting and how they differ from each other.

With the Switch 2 you even have to find out if your Switch 1 games are compatible for playing because "backwards compatibility" is just emulation - maybe we'll even need a "
#Proton" compatibility list like #Valve's #Steam Verified programme at this point lol. All in all, since the last gen of consoles and the rise in popularity of PC gaming "consoles" like the #SteamDeck... the line that segments between them is continually fading.

Slightly disappointing, but I'm still cautiously optimistic here. I only experienced drifting on two Joy-Cons out of 8, though I replaced the sticks myself in pairs out of an abundance of caution (and still have a spare set on hand).

There are plenty of non-drifting sticks that aren't using Hall effect, and I have to wonder if the magnetic attachment of the JC2s made Hall effect sticks impractical.
