In advance of my @medium Day talk 8/17, I wrote a piece to explain some key principles for #writing successfully about health and science — in a responsible and credible way that informs and entertains readers. As an editor, here are a few things I look for in a writer, beyond great basic writing ability:

Quality over quantity
Thorough research
Proper citations
Honesty and integrity

Seems obvious? But so many #writers, even many #journalists, get these things wrong.
