A minor positive milestone for me: today was (I think?) the first time in the 18 years that Hacker News has existed that the site’s conversation about something I wrote didn’t end up being largely derailed by some dudes’ feelings about me. A wonderful benefit of my fading visibility.

we literally become invisible to most of society as we age.

@stubbornella yeah, I think the male equivalent of this is having no longer been seen as a threat. I don’t get folks crossing the street or whatever nearly as much. Strange milestones.
