George Santos' expulsion from Congress today illustrates that liars' pants can eventually catch fire. It's interesting to note, however, the extent of lying required, and the machinations of justice necessary, to ultimately sideline a pathological liar. Notably, 114 lawmakers voted not to expel Santos. In some minds, prolific, outrageous lying is not enough to disqualify people from important positions of power.
