Evening falls.

First in a series of landscape photos showing a low, dark hill topped with the silhouettes of conifers, under a sky with some clouds that gets progressively darker as the evening comes on and the stars become visible. This first photo shows a relatively light blue sky with a few stars already out.

Second in a series. The sky is a deeper blue, with more stars coming into view.

Third in a series. The sky is an even darker blue heading into black, and is noticeably filling up with stars.

Shadows fill the canyon with blues and purples, below a soft, thoughtful sky. Across the tops of the cliffs, sunlight gives its last, slow, easy caress of the day, a gentle kiss goodnight.
