#DisasterDon is moving forward with his plan to ELIMINATE the #DeptOfEducation (b/c "the poorly educated" vote #Republican.)

Despite what most #Conservatives think, the DoEd DOES NOT set the curriculum of public schools. But misinformed Republicans want to eliminate it b/c they think it does.

Rick "Oops" Perry wanted to eliminate the Dept of Energy b/c he thought all it did was promote Oil sales. 🤦‍♂️

Eliminate FEMA b/c its Dir didn't know there's a "Hurricane Season". 🙄

The future of the Democratic party, or at least my support of them, will ride on their long term response to this decision.

If they take the Cuomo "f public schools" and push charter schools approach, then I'm done.

They can't half-ass rebuilding the Dept either, the Dems need a solid commitment to rebuilding education and keeping the GOP from doing this again

"Winston Smith's" job in the novel "1984" was to remove words from the English language.

The People were told it was to "streamline" the language, but in fact, it was a means of CONTROL, b/c when people lack the words to express themselves, the people are easier to control. #DeptOfEducation

#Orwell's "1984" was mostly a cautionary tale about how insidious #Fascism can be... much like how his novel "Animal Farm" taught the same lesson about Communism.

I don't know if the people dismantling everything good/helpful/positive about the federal gov't think this far ahead (doubtful), but…

…to put all this stuff back after #DonnieDumbass does away with it… #VOA, #FEMA, thousands of #IRS agents, #Superfund Cleanup, #DeptOfEducation, etc…

…it's going to cost SO much money just to put everything back, #Republicans are going to run on "#Democrats want to explode the size of government" for the next two decades. 🤬
