/dev/LUGBrainstorming: Hausaufgaben für eine Umstellung von Windows auf GNU/Linux.<br><br>1) Grundlegende Informationen zu GNU/Linux lesen. Warum? Bei einem Auto sollte man auch wissen wie man tankt. Wann das Auto zum TÜV muss und welche Bereifung nötig ist. Grundlegende Informationen zum verwenden Betriebssystem kann nicht nur Schaden, sondern auch sehr nützlich sein.<br><br>2) Wo bekommt man Informationen / Hilfe, wenn man nicht weiterkommt. Dies ist abhängig von mehreren Faktoren. Ich denke, da muss man selber seinen Weg finden, der am besten zu einem passt. Es gibt Dokumentation, Linux User Groups (Vorort / Online), Videos, manpages, Kurse an VHS, vielleicht Nachbarn oder Freunde, Social Media, Chats, Mailinglisten,...<br><br>3) Welche Software nutze ich jetzt aktuell? Was mach ich am Computer? Welche Daten habe ich? Welche Daten verarbeite ich? Das ist wichtig, um dann Alternative Software auf einem GNU/Linux System zu finden. Auch ggf. zu überlegen wie Daten migriert werden müssen / können.<br><br>4) Datensicherung! /dev/LUGIch mache gerade ein paar Erfahrungen mit der Umstellung von Windows 10 auf GNU/Linux.<br><br>Bis jetzt läuft die Umstellung sehr gut. Installiert habe ich ein Debian GNU/Linux 13. Als Desktop Manager hab ich xfce4 installiert. Die Person hatte vorher <a href="https://devlug.de/social?t=thunderbird" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Thunderbird</a> als E-Mail Client. Bei der Umstellung des <a href="https://devlug.de/social?t=betriebssystem" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Betriebssystem</a> haben wir auch gerade den Mail-Client auf evolution umgestellt.<br><br>OpenPGP einzurichten war eine Sache von Sekunden und ist jetzt im E-Mail Client eingebunden.<br><br>Zum chatten haben wir Dino eingerichtet. Netzwerklaufwerke und Cloud-Freigaben wurden direkt in Thunar eingerichtet.<br><br>Aktuell sperrt das System zu schnell den Desktop. Da habe ich aktuell noch nicht rausgefunden wo man die Zeit erhöhen kann. Außerdem habe ich noch ein Problem bei der Konfiguration von einem externen Datenträger.
