How are you guys doing? I’ve decided that I think Harris will win, but I’m *far* from certain and I basically feel like throwing up a lot. You guys?
@tomcoates oh, we're all throwing up here too, thanks for checking in on us.
@tomcoates Cautiously optimistic. Nick Fuentes of all people renouncing Trumpism as a cult is a good sign that it might finally be over soon.
@tomcoates I am honestly trying to use visualization to make peace with the alternative scenario. I just can't handle the stress of thinking that at some point on Tuesday night everything goes dark. I'm trying to remember that good people will be fighting to make the world a better place on Wednesday morning, no matter what happens.
@tomcoates Pretty much the same, Tom. Also: good to hear from you around these parts.
@tomcoates Same, but avoiding nausea by leaning in hard on games and crafts.
Big hugs!
@tomcoates Looking at the natural ginger beer should concern get worse.
May take a turn or two on the get out the vote call bank tomorrow.
I need sleep, but that fragile at the moment.
@tomcoates Pretty much the same. I think she’ll win. I hope she’ll win decisively. My brain doesn’t have enough juice left to think about the alternative, and is just holding on to the idea of having a backup country.
US politics, coping
@tomcoates Hmm, I guess my ability to deal with it might have a little bit to do with (cautious) optimism but has even more to do with identifying who my support structure is whoever wins. One of the LGBT dances I go to even sent out an email saying they know people are stressed, but we'll be dancing on Thursday (our usual night) no matter the election returns and we'll be there for each other.
