We just shipped a small update/fix to the me.dm account creation flow #medm_updates
Now, when you create your me.dm account, the link back to your Medium profile should use your custom domain or subdomain, if you have one.
For folks who have already created a me.dm account that has a custom domain or subdomain Medium profile, you can easily update your Medium profile link in https://me.dm/settings/profile here:
Next, I'm working on adding a `rel="me"` verification link to Medium profiles so that the Medium profile links in me.dm profiles get a verified check.

Links to your Medium profile and posts in your me.dm profile get a green verified check (see my me.dm profile as an example)
If your Medium profile/post links aren't showing up verified yet, try editing your me.dm profile and just clicking "Save changes". I think this will kick off an async task to check your links again.
I just tried editing my profile, but I'm still not getting the green verified check. Checked in a couple of different browsers to make sure it wasn't a local cache issue.
@funcrunch ahhh, it looks like you created your me.dm account before we enabled the me.dm account creation flow on medium.com.
Only the me.dm account creation flow on medium.com properly 'links' your me.dm account to your medium.com account.
The next thing I'm working on is a way to manually connect any Mastodon account to your Medium account. Once it's shipped, I'll let you know and you can link your me.dm account to your Medium account that way.
Hi, any updates on this? It's a little awkward that the @medium account itself, as well as that of CEO @coachtony and other Medium staff members who were early adopters of Mastodon, don't yet have the verified check here. 
@funcrunch sorry for the late response on this. We're working on it! We're building the ability for users to connect any mastodon account to their Medium account.
It's taking a bit longer than I expected, but it should be available within a week or so.
Once it's shipped, I'll let you know. As a legacy me.dm user, you'll be able to connect your me.dm account to your Medium account.

Thanks - I just did this but my Medium URL is still not showing up as green in my profile. Will it just take some time?
@funcrunch try editing your profile and just clicking 'Save'. This should cause me.dm to re-check your links to verify them.
