"Slopocalypse Now"
AI in the corporate world is pointless, unless it has an application - as many companies are now finding out.

Just when I’d perfected the art of not touching strangers (in the workplace, stop that), corporate culture is trying to drag us all back to sweaty palmed, awkward, disease ridden greetings. Great, thanks HR.

Sure, "AI" can be a great accelerant, but when your CEO announces their grand "vision" and insists everyone installs a chatbot there will be inevitable consequences...

Ever wondered why you can’t stand your coworkers?
It’s not just the JavaScript and Jira. It’s a deeper, darker thing drenched in the scent of HR...

Companies don't like to sack you, sorry, make you "redundant" as it costs them money. Therefore they inevitably employ a number of nefarious and subtle practices in order to get you to resign...

One of the more nauseating statements a manager can make is "well, that doesn't apply to me" - a statement which makes instant defenestration extremely tempting.

When even opening a (real) window is a delightful act of rebellion against the corporate dystopia.

"I Replaced My Project Manager With An ‘AI’"
tl;dr no-one noticed, so I'm going to do the same for everyone else in the company. Except the developers.

Commuting has always been a kind of collective illusion, something swallowed up like a mandatory medicine by employees - and they even pay for it with their time and money too.

AI isn’t taking your job, it’s taking your tasks.
If what you do is repetitive, predictable, or managerial - you’re already on the chopping block.
Survivors are those who build, train, or wield the tools.
Everyone else is being deprecated. At last.

I use vi, or vim, everywhere - learn it once for life and you can pretty much guarantee it's always installed.
On the rare occasion I use VSC I install the vi keys thing and turn off EVERYTHING else. It's the only way to be sure.
