Ugh huh, sounds like Target is entering the finding out phase of being loudly pro Trump and suddenly switching to be against DEI.

Target has struggled to find its footing since inflation caused pinched shoppers to curtail their spending. Customers have complained of messy stores with merchandise that didn't reflect the expensive-looking but budget-priced niche that earned the retailer the nickname “Tarzhay.”

Eiether I haven't been to #target for a while, or they've gone to SHIT. The store was totally torn apart like a Dollar General, and EVERYTHING is expensive. 12 tea candles were $7, and they were marked for $4 and I haggled down to the $4, and no incense. Which is fine. I wend to Earthbound (aka; #pagan hot-topic) and got some good backflow and stick incense to honor the gods with, that was reasonably priced!

CEO #Target is stepping down after seeing profits plummet by 19% because of the economic protests against Target’s anti-DEI choices.

We have a TON of economic power to make these corporations fearful. The media will say it’s everything but boycotts but we know.

I haven't shopped at Target for a looong time, but I justified going in there to buy a stack of their loss-leader notebooks for my students who show up to school without one. (40 notebooks at 28 cents each is apparently what my convictions are worth.)

But they bait-and-switched me and the 20% off coupon disappeared between home and the register, so they were like, "so, that'll be full price." That's some truly black hat sh*t.

I shoved the stuff back and said keep it.

@stevenrosenthal I used to be a very loyal and regular #target shopper, with a Target credit card since 1997! The last time I went inside a Target was in early February. I wrote a long letter to the company to explain why I left and that I wouldn’t be back until they embraced the inclusive vision of America that used to make Target the place to shop. The new CEO doesn’t plan to apologize and thinks that better products and technology will win people back. Nope, not enough.

It is hilarious to me that #Target would rather lose a massive amount of business and ultimately fire their CEO rather than just admit they made a really stupid, self-goaling mistake in ditching their DEI policies.

I haven't shopped at #Target since it got on the Trump hate train. I don't think this will change anything. I did get a #Costco membership when I stopped shopping at Target though, not that I really needed a big box store membership but because the company came out loudly in support of its #DEI policies and said it wasn't going to change for Trump. theguardian.com/business/2025/

Stop supporting fascist politicians, make "Immigrants Built America" signs for your windows. "America _ IS _ Immigrants" above your front door.

Give 10% of the company to employees in each store, then promise to increase that with growth.

To start.

Then ask employee board members how to proceed.

Target can be American, ask your employees advice. Pay them.
