A monochrome view of a city street from high up on a hill, we see buildings and cars. There are a mix of larger commercial buildings and residential ones all up and down the block. Crosswalks of dashes in white lined up punctuate the intersections. There are some trees scattered throughout the neighborhood, some small, some older and taller.
An out of focus tree branch is seen in the top corner of the image, suggesting we are standing under a tree on a hill when the image was taken.

For #MountainMonday I have this elevated view of the Southern California desert landscape, disappearing in monsoonal haze. Seen from the Laguna Crest in San Diego County.

MABON

They were hot to touch, so she used a linnen towel to get the tray with the muffins out of the oven. When she placed them on the wooden board in front of the window, the glass fogged up a little.

It was beginning to get chilly in the mornings. From the front yard, a large sunflower peeked into the kitchen. The warmth of the rising sun reinvigorated the bees who briskly came, and went, to collect the last pollens of the season.

The house smelled of apples, cinnamon, and coffee. Time, to start the day with a delicious breakfast.
