Hustle culture is back in San Francisco: That means six days in the office, at least for employees of hard-charging startup LatchBio.
In a job description for a senior software engineer, with an annual salary range of $140,000 to $220,000.
No. Just no.
"Hard-charging startup" is just bullshit for working people into the ground with no incentive for them to do so. The only winners of this are the founders if the startup is successful. If things are not going so well, the only losers will be those hard working people when the are laid off with minimal severance.
If you want people to work that hard, you give them a substantial piece of equity in the company as these people are the ones that will be working six days a week building the product.
