Utah has allowd 4 permitless open & concealed carry of weapons since 2021. But b4 passage of #HB128, firearms had 2 b concealed when carried on campuses. Law allowd pple w/ proper permit 2 carry them openly

Now you don't have to take my advice, but if I were you, everyday #USA citizen, I would at the VERY least get the gun license (in MA it's called a FID) so that I could legally buy firearms and ammunition and keep them in my house, which also requires I take a weapons safety class, you know, just in case I wanted to own one or several, hypothetically.

Having a carry license might be nice too but you should at LEAST get the FID.

One quick comment on the other big thing going on rn: whatever you think of firearms, in many states there are two licensing tiers. One is an ID card that allows you to own and possess firearms and ammunition. The other is a carrying license that allows you to have a firearm on you in public, concealed or openly, varies.

Here is a clear evidence that our current gun laws are inadequate. This article draws our attention to the different requirements to hold a firearms licence for sports/competitions compared wiith recreational hunting reasons.

I remain convinced that there are other loopholes in our gun laws which must be closed and gun ownership requirements which need to be tightened and better policed.

It should not take Coronial Inquiries to bring these out. Our Govt has a duty of care to ensure the safety of all people living and visiting Australia. Time to put the #GunLobby aside and legislate for better firearms controls.
