I want to start a board games library for games that I can play. Does anybody have any recommendations for any accessible board games or tabletop games for the blind? Also, any tips of making any traditional games accessible would be greatly appreciated #Blind #Blindness #Accessibility #BoardGames #Tabletop
Ahh, it's time for another run around the watercooler with the Dutch Tax Office about them sending me snail mail I can't read and then getting annoyed when I don't pay them money. I should really go to the press with this farse of a situation, it's like the 5th time in 10 years this has happened #blind #disability #accessibility
Y’all. I’m working on my very first native macOS app for accessibility testing. It’s almost 3:00 am and I should be sleeping, but I found it really hard to stop coding.
Once it’s ready I’m gonna offer it for free download (not in the App Store). I’m pretty stoked.
It’s nice to be excited about something good.
rediscovering this little example/exploration i made back in the day when the inline exception for the Target Size success criterion in #wcag was being discussed...
This week's In-Process is out. Featuring all the news on NVDA 2025.2, info on the upcoming NVDA 2025.3, a recap on restarting after updating (no we're not about to enforce that!) and a look into the namesake feature of Microsoft Windows... and just how complicated ARE the Windows+arrow key commands? (Very, but we break it down for you!) All that and more, available now: https://www.nvaccess.org/post/in-process-22nd-august-2025/
Conformance vs. Compliance, Accessibility Standards Edition, by @hdv:
Thanks - that "milk in first" makes good sense to me if a teapot is being used and it has been allowed to cool somewhat while brewing.
Shane, shame, shame on the family:
Don't tell anyone but I'm using #Teabags.
In part due to #Accessibility.
And I can keep the liquid in the cups very hot.
I hope nobody would voluntarily put the milk in first for teabags. Though this has been observed at MacDonalds and petrol stations. [The Scream]
