I just learnt about the hierarchy of disability stigma and Ableism. The hierarchy isn't to say those at the top are more worthy, but that they have less stigma and have less ableism directed towards them by able bodied (and indeed other disabled people) that those further down the triangle.

I would like for abled and disabled activists who can do in-person #activism to please stop devaluing the digital efforts of other disabled activists who cannot leave the house without sacrificing days or weeks of basic function like bathing, cooking, cleaning and all other things so taken for granted.
There are many disabled folks who want to do more and can only do more from their keyboards. Why should their efforts matter less? Be disrespected? Subtly scorned?

@CCochard That's why it's important to tell these stories. Not only do disabled kids need examples to make careers feel possible, but abled-identified people (a group which includes both abled people and some disabled people) need to realize how actually normal & widespread disability is.
We need to normalize accessibility and inclusion, and dismantle #Ableism

Which, for disabled people like me, means they're planning on an inaccessible conference.
And because the location is in the US, they're also planning on a conference that may be dangerous for any marginalized people, USian or not, to attend.
