Nothing about my blog on the open web determines what sites I can visit in a browser (while it can limit who can leave comments etc). It felt like it took over society for a while back then. Against corporations having any say in the culture. That was the idea, even if it didn't really work out that way most of the time. But we actually have the tools to make that happen today. And there's now a growing backlash against big tech and algorithms everywhere too.imo there's just one thing sucking the air out of the room though...
