I liked it okay when it first came out but then grew to dislike it and am back to the more positive side now. However, the Director’s Cut is absolutely the one to go with. I understand why audiences aren’t keen on this; it’s got the weird dream sequences that represent the Myers mental health issues, and Laurie is a messy, uncomfortable character to watch. For folks that just want their Shape killing people, that stuff isn’t going to work. But you know what? That’s what I like

House of 1000 Corpses has grown on me a bit since then, but I still don’t think it’s a particularly good movie.
