The more i learn about patriarchy and its many spillover effects the more calculated and (at least outwardly calm) i get in my fight against it.
My focus has shifted not to women* or minorities but to men and people in power instead, as well as the usual “bystanders”.
I’m convinced that no change is ever gonna be possible if they do not actively fight with and for us.
I feel a lot more confident calling people out for their compliance, I refuse to fight my battles in backrooms where men keep telling me to keep a low profile.

Because after all, the perpetrator is in the wrong for hurting people and for overstepping boundaries. Not me. Not us.
You don’t want to be publicly criticised for being abusive?
There is a simple solution: respect other people and their boundaries.
“No.” is a full sentence.
You are not entitled to other people. That includes their attention/time/empathy/etc
You witness someone being an asshole?
Open your mouth. Speak up.
Stop hiding behind your own ignorance.
Everyone makes mistakes, everyone has hurt people in their lives.
Own your mistakes.
Don’t pretend them away. Learn from them.
We can make this world so much better than it currently is.
