Amazon's Kindle Vella serial app is being shut down (last day to upload new episodes in December) and based on the feedback in multiple author groups, I'd say that exactly zero percent of authors are surprised by this.

For me, it always felt like a project that they gave to summer interns to develop. Some group of people at Amazon had the knowledge to make it better, but none were involved.
