Justin D Kruger (he/him)<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@andrewconn" class="u-url mention">@<span>andrewconn</span></a></span> I’m playing with <a href="https://me.dm/tags/HomeAssistant" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>HomeAssistant</span></a> as it’s in my NASs AppStore / AppGallery .</p><p>I have a lot of <a href="https://me.dm/tags/EveEnergy" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>EveEnergy</span></a> devices but before they were on <a href="https://me.dm/tags/thread" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>thread</span></a> / <a href="https://me.dm/tags/matter" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>matter</span></a>. </p><p>So I’ll have to update them. Wu Evar 🇪🇺🇺🇦<p>Curious question about <a href="https://mastodon.green/tags/Matter" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Matter</span></a> (and <a href="https://mastodon.green/tags/HomeKit" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>HomeKit</span></a>):</p><p>I’m using an <a href="https://mastodon.green/tags/AppleTV" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AppleTV</span></a> (4K 2nd gen) as HomeKit central and several <a href="https://mastodon.green/tags/EveEnergy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>EveEnergy</span></a> <br>devices. </p><p>I could upgrade the plugs and the AppleTV to Matter.</p><p>Would it be possible to control (at least) the smart plugs using an <a href="https://mastodon.green/tags/Android" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Android</span></a> smartphone? Or is this even with Matter not possible and you still need a <a href="https://mastodon.green/tags/GoogleHome" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GoogleHome</span></a> central and the “Matter support” is only for more interoperability of different devices insides ONE of this walled gardens? 1/2</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.green/tags/HomeAutomation" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>HomeAutomation</span></a></p>
