Research shows rising sea levels pose major threat to Queensland aquaculture

More than 43 percent of Queensland’s productive aquaculture sites could be underwater by 2100, according to new research led by Griffith University – a sobering forecast for Australia’s largest land-based aquaculture state.

Byer Motel.

Old vintage, dilapidated or abandoned Motel signs are a whole photographic genre. Especially in the US.

Here in Australia we have our own crop of cool hotel photo ops.
This motel seems to be open for business? Maybe. The sign on the door says ring bell for service. But the vibe is a little Bates Motel sketchy, and the fountain out front definitely needs a little love.

Well, we had the whole bloody tree fall on our house after reporting it. ACT Housing organised an inspection and a few branches were trimmed. Which did absolutely nothing to prevent the tree falling down. Gum trees have notoriously shallow roots and Kambah is built on clay. Not a great combination.

Edit for clarity: this happened to us many years ago
