Oh hey, another reminder for newbies to #MeDm (or anybody really): if you "favorite" a post it makes the author of the post feel good, but doesn't have any impact on the post's visibility (unlike on that other site). What's important on Mastodon is #BOOSTING!
#Boost liberally-- it increases the visibility of the post you're boosting AND increases the visibility of your entire instance.
(#Favoriting is still good too!)
