Banking as we know is off the rails. the fat cat bosses have allowed rampant abuse of loans, mortgages and cash advantages and under the table passbacks and broken promises. I'm in a particularly abrasive rant mood today mainly because of the constantly crawling that is always under my skin when dealing with my bank. lloydstsb.

It was only when i went to send another payment to complete the amount did i see that for some reason it had not gone - it was still showing the original amount.
I'm presuming that my account was over and that it had not sent, i could have saved a serious amount of embarrassment over the ordeal if i had known. And herein lies my point and beef about banks never able to take that extra step of really looking after the customer who probably knows more their income than some db with a case of 1980's logic. how hard it it to manage money in an ever changing world, where the landscape of tourist/traveller/worker is changing by the hour. Our banking communication for our tools that we use is broken, i doubt hardly any bank has an iphone version of their site (as an example - i'm sure other phones are poorly supported too) they are simple not where the eyeballs are.
Worst of all, they care very little of it, they would rather fleece you some extra overdrawn charges, make out they cannot increase your overdraft or combine a credit card with a loan because of various circumstances they see fit on your account. an overdraft should NOT be allowed to go over - but they do. I almost see the funny side of my nan who has past (bless her soul) pointing and announcing to us all decades back about her storing her money "under the bed" reverberating in my head.
No, the reason that banks can never go that extra mile is they do it for the greed, those services are not for me - your not helping me. your helping yourself, over and over again - keeping the lead on, not being adaptive in a world where people move digital, living in between the interconnects of the countries that tap into the superhighway. your the modern day digital pirate, the kid with the bigger boat at the park - the dude that people facilitate in the hope you won't try to break them.
If i had got a tweet, a DM message, a message via facebook in some way - maybe by one of the vast amounts of way you can find me on the internet i could have worked something out, fixed my bad calculation day and in the process re-inforced my working relationship with a new friend/business - but no, now i have to rebuilt that untrust and damage (i think dave is cool but that is not the point)
To add insult to injury the payments i had scheduled to go out this week were totally fine and perfectly within in the limit - oh and then you send the payment that should have gone to dave last week. Ah, the cutting edge of piss take from the bank i cannot get away from - i'll be overdrawn just enough so you can charge me a daily charge and stop me paying a bill next week.
I'm upping my plan to getting off the grid bit by bit for the sake of the "man". time to tap into the grid i want to use, rather than the one that wants to use me to keep me in check. are you frustrated with banking? - i would love to get your comments. banking annoys me as the one thing in my life i cannot optimize, for love... or indeed money! ;)
