I bought a set of these (read : cheap) knowing that they would be uncomfortable, tinny without much bass and generally make you stand out like a sore thumb screaming "mug me, i have an apple product on me" but apart from that the fact that they have a reasonably good mic (when i say reasonably i mean - better than nothing) for recording stealthy audioboo messages. at the moment i have to stick an iphone in the face of someone to interview and they know they are being recorded - with this you can quite easily use them stealthy and look like your recording music or even have them hanging from your top. I would recommend using something like FiRE (field recorder on the appstore) however if you want to put it on record then just go out and about with it. that way you can edit on the phone and tag cool bits. bargain headphones. stealthy recordings.
