Viscosity is an OpenVPN client for Mac, providing a rich Cocoa graphical user interface for creating, editing, and controlling VPN connections.
I've been using viscosity (great name) since the first beta and it has really started to take shape. Admittly there is only so much in the gui that you can really do to make it worth buying but i do like apps to work and be visual as possible. The other thing i really like about viscosity is the price $9 - an absolute bargain.
I use the app in combination with my witopia $40 a year vpn connection. This way super quickly i can get an american ip address which then opens me up to some of the american sites like hulu. I've just realised as well that when i get my mac mini i will be able to have viscosity running in the background fulltime and that means that my boxee will allow me to watch natively hulu from the uk.
Btw, another reason to have the witopia account is that they also throw in pptp vpn encryption settings automatically for free for use on your iphone. Get some vpn action on when your on a dodgy open wifi.
Double win i would say! :)
