So this is a post about RFID passports (mainly the uk one) and the ability to read the RFID information from your passport or id card. Being the curious type for all things like this i made sure that when i did not want to be "read" that i could not. I found a great place in the uk that stocks this kind of stuff called smartcard focus. They have a whole stack of products that might interest you! :)
Check out near the bottom of this page these products that can help with hiding any of your RFID devices from detection when you do not wish to be scanned.
The introduction of contactless (RFID) technology in mainstream applications such as Oyster cards (London Transport) and credit cards has brought concerns about data security. The RFID-Blocking Leather Wallet provides a simple solution to this worry by making it impossible for data to be read, altered or copied, from contactless cards, like such as the Oyster card, operating at 13.56 MHz.

Might sound like a lot of paranoia but as much as i like the idea of geo-location stuff (on my terms) i really do not like the idea of walking around a city or airport with my passport details and other rfid enabled membership cards telling a nice little breadcrumb trail of my movements. This gives me some form of personal control of that.
